19/10/11 - Badumna 2.0 out now!
We are pleased to announce the release of Badumna 2.0, the next generation of Badumna.
Badumna now comes with a completely optimised core that significantly improves the performance of Badumna. It also includes a bunch of new features to make multiplayer networking even easier.
Badumna 2.0 includes a distributed validation system that allows developers to design fully secure cheat-resistant applications without having to compromise on the scalability offered by Badumna. Distributed validation system raises the bar on cheating and can offer the security of a client-server architecture on-demand with its ability to dynamically switch between client-server mode and peer-to-peer mode. This version also marks the release of our C++ bindings which are available as a separate download. Badumna can now support any C++ based game engine.
Badumna 2.0 also includes a Statistics Server package that allows game publishers to track live user activity and obtain various analytics. Fully source code for this package is provided for developers to extend the functionality as per their requirements.
To learn more about all the new features included in Badumna 2.0, please feel free to browse our website and review the developer documentation. Thanks again for all your support and we look forward to helping you build bigger and better games.
Happy gaming!

24/10/10 - Badumna 1.4 out now!
We’re proud to announce the commercial release of the Badumna Network Suite.
Badumna Network Suite is a complete networking solution for fast and efficient creation of multiplayer applications, especially online games and virtual worlds. Badumna utilises a decentralised architecture that eliminates major problems with conventional client-server solutions – poor scalability and performance, high operating costs and the separation of players into different servers or shards.
More than 600 game developers tried out our beta and many of you have seen how Badumna could completely change the way multiplayer games are developed and published. Many new games powered by Badumna will be launched over the next two months, so keep an eye on our showcase: http://www.scalify.com/showcase.php
Badumna is now available in three different versions. Badumna Indie provides independent developers with a complete multiplayer networking solution for just US$200 per game. Badumna Pro MMO is designed for larger MMOs and is provided via a flexible monthly ‘pay as your grow’ subscription fee based on the number of concurrent players. The subscription fee is significantly less than the monthly cost of the servers and bandwidth that would be required to host your MMO without Badumna. Badumna Custom is designed for non-MMO social games and enterprise applications and is priced based on an assessment of your specific application requirements. Further information regarding pricing can be found here: www.scalify.com/store
The new version contains a bunch of new features to make multiplayer networking even easier. Badumna 1.4 includes a distributed lookup service that eliminates the need to hard code server addresses in your client code, distributed Non-Player Characters (NPCs) that are automagically hosted on client machines rather than servers, fully automated HTTP tunnelling support and complete support for buddy lists. Further information regarding these changes can be found in our developer documentation : http://www.scalify.com/support.php
Make sure you browse our new website to learn more about Badumna, review the new developer documentation, check out the showcase of some Badumna powered applications and participate in our new user forums.
Thanks again for your support and suggestions and we look forward to helping you all build bigger and better games.
